Records show Vos asked for public records changes
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos requested the controversial changes to the state's open records law that would have significantly diminished the public's ability to monitor how its government works, records obtained by the State Journal show.

Local man caught in child computer sex sting avoids trial

Republicans on Joint Finance recently voted for a surprise motion that would have exempted the Legislature from Wisconsin's open records law. It also would have redefined public records so that most state/local government records could be kept secret.
