We welcome your participation in our online article comments. We hope the words our bloggers write and our staff-written stories will elicit your comments, whether you agree or disagree with them, just find them entertaining, or have additional information or analysis to pass on.

To keep the conversations enjoyable and interesting for all of our readers, we ask that you abide by some simple, common sense rules.

To submit a letter to the editor for publication in the River News, fill out the "Submit a Letter to the Editor" form in this online section, email it to news@rivernewsonline.com (Letter to Editor in subject line), or send it to The Northwoods River News, 232 S. Courtney Street, (Trig's Riverwalk Centre, Stop 14), Rhinelander, WI 54501. First and last names are required for publication, as well as town of residence. Include daytime phone number and/or email address, which will not be published, so you may be contacted for clarification, or further questions from the staff. There is a 400-word limit for letter submissions and they may be edited to meet guidelines. The Northwoods River News reserves the right to refuse to publish any comment we feel does not meet these guidelines and has the right to change these rules/guidelines at any time.

To the editor: The second installment of the 2013 Oneida County property tax bills is due by July 31, 2014. Due to limited parking and long waiting lines, mailing tax payments is recommended.

Another viewpoint on Driscoll Road project
To the editor: After reviewing the issues and concerns surrounding the 72-unit apartment complex, now approved by our City Council, I find that the issues identified in the River News articles of May 26, June 11, 18 and 25 are still concerns to the citizens of Driscoll Road and Rhinelander.

To the editor: A few years ago, the Community Resource Agent at the University of Wisconsin Extension-Oneida County joined the Rhinelander city administrator and a Rhinelander alderman at a regional conference of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Writer seeks input on Northland Pines health class
To the editor: In March a local newspaper published a survey that had been distributed to students in health class at Northland Pines, asking teens to discuss with their parents the child's feelings about engaging in risky sexual behavior. Many adults had concerns about some questions.
