Have you had enough?

To the Editor:

Have you had enough?

Each time I ask myself that question of myself prior to an election I feel that I'm standing on common and shared ground with many others. I feel that I have been presented with enough evidence from inquiring minds that would fire a guilty elected official. I feel that the jury members have all seen the same evidence. I see the wrongdoing of committing subversive behavior to line pockets or to use alternative motives to be secretly held to prevent disclosure in opposition to representing their constituents. I walk into the voting station feeling confident that I am armed with common sense so I can remove the malignant and diseased threat. Then when the votes are tallied I'm shocked to find out that the people have secured the subversive and corrupt elected officials for another term. Our highest office in government is now a constant feed for comedic material. The presidency is still undefined. I find that I still wishfully hope for it to end but in reality my common sense tells me that our four years are doomed. I can only pray for damage control. Will the people hurt enough to return to common ground so they can make the real changes that are necessary. It is unnatural for Americans to play the role of the victim. I think that we all need to be heroes and to leave the position of neutrality or role of onlooker to engage to do our part to prevent the crime from happening or continuing. Being a proud American is not intended to be a position of embarrassment. Our country's future should not be covered with a blanket of fear and insecurity. We have the power to drain the swamp.
