Reader doesn't believe Trump colluded with Russians

To the Editor:

In response to the letter from James Carroll, 5/30/17 ... the problem for the Trump haters out there is that no solid evidence has been presented by anyone that there is any "Russian connection" with our election, or any "collusion." Same old tactic ... if you tell a lie long enough and often enough, it seems to become true, or at least you can convince enough people. The Washington Post is not exactly a credible source of information, printing mostly negative stories about Trump daily. How many positive entries in the Post about Trump? If the Democrats had not been good at marketing the Russian foolishness, they would have manufactured/concocted something else, anything to "get Trump" is the name of their game. When I see or hear someone talking about "sources" and "reports," I am skeptical because they do not say where the information comes from. Fake news these days is also the name of the game, as long as it puts Trump in a bad light.

Hillary Clinton has used every excuse, blamed everyone in D.C. for her loss. She may have won the popular vote, but she lost the one that counted - the Electoral vote. And as sure as we have rain in spring, the Democrats were all over that, wanting to "abolish" the Electoral College. Never heard that when it worked out positively for a Democrat. Isn't it even conceivable to the liberals that Hillary Clinton was her own worst enemy? The Clintons carry enough (scandal) baggage to fill several boxcars, and people were fed up with their conniving and corruption. Russian interference in the election? How so? Was Vlad Putin making robo-calls to vote for Trump? If Hillary were honest (I know - what a stretch) she only needs to look in the mirror for someone to blame.

There was plenty of genuine evidence that Hillary Clinton committed crimes over Benghazi and her creative email system. Yet, like a Clinton always does, she walked away unscathed. Want to talk collusion? How about the Clintons and Obama scheming in the background to undermine everything Trump tries to do. How about the Democrats in Congress, obsessed with "Trump-thumping" 24/7, to the point of doing exactly nothing in the way of legislating, as they were sent there to do. These people need to take several deep breaths, count to 10, and then get some group therapy, before they implode.

Like president Trump, the author still harps on Hillary Clinton. New flash, she lost. Trump is president. Second headline, the GOP has a strong majority in both houses, the Democrats can't stop them, but then they don't need to. For so long, the Republicans in congress have been the party of "NO", they don't know how to get anything done. There is nothing to stop them from passing legislation except themselves.
