Justice is blind and corrupt

To the Editor:

It is said "Justice is Blind". Nowhere is that more true than in Chicago. An actor, Jussie Smollett, stages a fake hate crime, and hires two African-American men to fake a verbal and physical attack on Smollett. Not long after all the hoopla about this terrible "crime" it is exposed as a hoax, with multiple charges against Smollett including lying to the police. All through this, Smollett maintains he is the victim, and criticizes the police. The police had pulled 25 detectives from other cases to investigate his fake attack.

Enter the Cook County District Attorney, a far-leftie, who was supported for her bid for that job by another far-leftie and billionaire George Soros. Enter also, contact with Michelle Obama on behalf of Smollett and his family. Now the complete picture of this injustice comes out into the open. And "poof" before we know it, all charges dropped, record expunged. That is how things work in Chicago.

Even Rahm Emanuel, the Mayor of Chicago, is outraged by not only the crime committed by Smollett but also by the wasted man-hours on this sham. So the losers in all of this are the people who live in Chicago, who believe, even though corruption is well known there, that anyone will get any justice in that city.

So yes, justice is blind. Also corrupt.
