9/21/2019 7:30:00 AM Another perspective on violence
To the Editor:
Recently, Mr. James Leschke wrote two letters to the River News about gun violence. The first advocated abolishing the Second Amendment. The second letter postulates that the United States is a violent country.
Mr. Leschke fails to mention the most abundant and monstrous violence of all - abortion. Sixty million human beings have been killed since Roe V. Wade.
Progressives and the Democrat Party are the proponents of abortion. Abortion now and forever is their motto. Be not deceived about their supposed love for humanity.
Speaking for myself, I refuse to be lectured by people with blood on their hands.

That “second letter” was a real America-hating doozy. I can’t understand why such people can’t raise up an idea or person without tearing down everyone in sight. Everyone but them is a Nazi, a warmonger, a racist, guilty of some crime against humanity, deplorable. Ah, but they, being so smart, have the answer, which is always more government, more giveaways, more regulation, more taxes. Give them the control and they’ll fix America just like they’ve fixed Chicago, New York, Baltimore, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
