Reader calls out Tiffany over 'scary-sounding caricatures'

To the Editor:

I see that Tom Tiffany is trying to raise money to run for Congress by rattling off a series of scary-sounding caricatures of Democratic positions and then commending his candidacy by saying, "It doesn't have to be this way."

Well, he's right. It doesn't. Actually, it can be a lot better!

More specifically, Americans don't have to go on living in the climate of fear, anger, and hatred promoted by Republicans from the president on down.

We simply don't need a government that works only for the rich and powerful.

If we want a better life, a future free from the fear on which corporate special interests rely, the solution is simple: vote for Democrats so that we can turn things around and enjoy a government that actually works for ordinary American people.

I agree with you whole heartedly Gerry. Our present Congress is maligned. Having the Republican majority being the Trump party eliminates homogenous politics. Theres no separation of powers or individuality. Objectivity and diversity are minimalized for subjectivity. and progress is put on the back burner. Our congress has chosen to handicapped itself.
Tiffany has had a questionable history concerning his representation. His priorities and self interest to support corporation interests over his constituency. Is recordable. Support of Tiffany would merely add to the problem. Tiffany sports a forked tongue . It's time to eliminate and replace these seat warmers.
Others are Johnson with his conspiracy theories and Trump party involvement. Swearingen is silent since his last photo op at the library or did I see him holding a shovel somewhere in another photo op. Out with the old and in with the new. It's time to remove the barricades that block progress for the good of the people.
Food for thought
