The election of U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson has been a wonderful gift to the people of Wisconsin. Johnson has been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business. Senator Tiffany makes himself look pretty good in his recent article. I should be used to the GOP spinning the things they do to make them sound good. I'm not. It is just that much more fertilizer.

Downtown Rhinelander's landscape will be changing fast in the coming months. I see it as a wonderful opportunity for growth for the downtown merchants if they gear up for it.
I would hope that there would be a renewed effort to attract more tourists. In my opinion we have been falling far short of our potential over the years, really. We should be doing much better, but instead we struggle. (4 comments) Wednesday, May 4, 2016
