Reader wants paper to take hard line on Trump

To the Editor:

The very long article and very long opinion piece about a couple of sherriff's deputies having an affair were in poor taste and way too long. They went into such distasteful detail that all I could think, was "way too much information!!"

I read them, because you should thoroughly read articles and op-ed pieces that you are commenting on, but it was tough sledding getting through those two prim pieces.

What I want to know about Richard Moore and Gregg Walker is this - when are you two going to find the courage to take the gloves off and write a flaming op-ed piece about how horrible and inexcusable it is for Trump to accuse the press of being the enemy of the people, and how deplorable it is that 41 percent of your readers feel you are indeed the enemy.

I mean, you skirt the issue by hiding behind publishing anti-Trump cartoons and anti-Trump canned columnist-for-hire diatribes. When are you going to find the courage to say "we bash the sherriff's dept. for you people, we fight City Hall for you people, we take the county dept. of public works on for you people - when have we been your enemy?" C'mon, guys, stick up for yourselves!!

Robyn, I've never heard Donald Trump or any politician bash our local papers. They print news for the most part not propaganda. If you want that go to the NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, & sadly most of the mainstream media. Now you want to corrupt our local media. Shame on you!
