Reader ponders matters of conscience and faith

To the Editor:

This is the season to disengage the autopilot and take a hands-on approach with our conscience and faith.

Where is the American evangelical movement? As a country do we now believe that immigrants and their children deserve their present treatment? Have we adapted the mindset that not all men are created equal and self-centered wrongful intent is acceptable? I don't hear anyone yelling foul from the top of the mountain. Have we lost our guide? Are we supposed to punish the poor by taking away their medical treatment, food and cut their support benefits because they don't live up to our standard of life? I am constantly reminded of the bracelets in the past that reminded us of our guide - WWJD - What Would Jesus Do.

The season for giving thanks gives light to the spirit of the heart. A career in law enforcement is not all about fighting crime. It's an in-depth education of the frailties and diversity of mankind.

Brian it's not a requirement to get emotionally upset over my words. You can just let them sit there. You don't have to read into them, make them negative, twist them or attack them. But your more than welcome too if it helps. I have moved on with the spirit of Christmas.
God bless

Brian you too got emotional. This was just a reminder or hint for people to follow the true meaning of Christmas and judge the fractured capital as the gospel instructs us to restore truth and moral justice to the people of this country.
Santa is for the youth and does not focus on the true meaning and purpose of Christmas. By the way Brian what the two responses reminded me of was NIAGRA FALLS! S L O W L Y I T U R N E D, S T E P B Y S T E P, I N C H. B Y I N C H.
Have a wonderful sunny day.

And here, after the House impeachment nonsense, after being endlessly lectured “no one is above the law,” now you’re telling me the exact opposite? 15,000,000 lawbreakers working American jobs are above the law?

Just checked the 2016 stats. Trump took Oneida County by 19 percentage points. That’s a big hurdle to get over.
