Charlotte M. Schoeneck

Charlotte M. Schoeneck, age 87, of the town of Enterprise, was called home to the Lord on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 29, 1925, in Chicago, to Ralph and Alma (Degner) Kadell.

Charlotte graduated from Steinmetz High School, in Chicago, and then was employed in the offices of the J.B. Clow Company. Her family vacationed in Pelican Lake and later Charlotte would relocate there. It was in Pelican Lake where she met and married Lester Schoeneck. They shared over 50 years together. Charlotte was a devoted wife and mother, and also served as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service.

She was a faithful member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Enterprise. Charlotte loved to cook and bake, and share her creations with family and friends. Most of all, Charlotte loved her Lord and that faith provided the foundation upon which she built her life and raised her family.

Charlotte is survived by seven children, David (Sharon) Schoeneck of Kingswood, Texas, Dee (Mike) Froncek of Milwaukee, Sandy (Kermit) Knutson of Louisville, Ky., Debbie Aird of North Fond du Lac, Sue (Russ) Rocke of Rhinelander, Dennis (Kim) Schoeneck of Enterprise, and Scott (Denise) Schoeneck of Rhinelander; a daughter-in-law, Connie (Jim) Churchill of Rhinelander; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren with an additional great-granddaughter due to arrive in a month.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester on Sept. 1, 2002; a son, Randy Schoeneck; a son-in-law, Tom Aird; and a sister, Lorraine.

Funeral services for Charlotte will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, in Rhinelander, with Rev. Neil Varnum officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Carlson Funeral Home, (715) 369-1414 /, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Enterprise Cemetery.

For those who would wish to honor Charlotte, a memorial will be established in her name.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ministry Home Care Hospice for their assistance and support.
