Patrick "Brownie" "Peebs" "Weasel"  O. Brown

Patrick "Brownie" "Peebs" "Weasel" O. Brown, age 75 of the Newbold township, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at his residence under the care of Ministry Home Health Hospice and surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. Pat was born on Saturday, Sept. 26, 1942 in Marinette, the son of Owen and Mary (Sporrer) Brown. He attended Marinette schools. Pat enlisted in the United States Navy for four years where he proudly served his country during the Bay of Pigs invasion and Cuban Missile Crisis. He was united in marriage to Karen Moes on July 1, 1967 in Rhinelander. Two sons were born during this marriage. The couple later were divorced after 16 years of marriage. Pat was united in marriage on Jan. 1, 2011 in Old Town, Florida to Emily Coppenger. Patrick was employed for 32 years with the city of Rhinelander in their water department as an equipment operator and was known to be a jack of all trades. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Fanning Springs, Florida and the Ray Rousseau V.F.W. Post #3143 Rhinelander. He was also a life member of AMVETS Florida Post No. 222. Pat and his wife Emily enjoyed wintering in Old Town, Florida since 2005. Patrick loved spending time with his family, home improvement projects with friends, motorcycle riding, Busch Light, enjoying the outdoors and listening to blues, jazz and country music. Patrick will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 17 years, Emily; four sons, Corey (DeAnna) Brown and Shannon Brown, all of Janesville; Trent (Roxanne) Coppenger of Rhinelander and Tal (Colleen) Coppenger of Appleton; one daughter Jerin Coppenger-McRath of Rosemont, Minn.; 13 grandchildren, Ian, Aidan, Will, Cassie, Shayla, Kelly, Lindsey, Logan, McKenna, Evan and Elaina. Also surviving are special friends; Jessie (Ben) Giddings and their children Lilly and Benny Giddings of Omro, Wis., three brothers, Owen (Julie) Brown of Green Valley, Wis., Jeff (Candice) Brown of Wausaukee, Jimmy (Julie) Brown of Wausaukee; four sisters, Barb Menard of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kathy Phillips of Wausaukee, Theresa (Mike) Szydel of Wausaukee, and Sharon (Roger) Johnson of Wausaukee. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, and by one brother-in-law Russell Phillips.
