Robert "Bob" William Hasal
Robert "Bob" William Hasal, age 76 of Rhinelander, died Sunday July 16, 2018 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield. He was born in New York, N.Y. on March 25, 1941 to Walter and Eleanor (Pospisil) Hasal. He graduated from Belleville High School in Belleville, N.J. in 1959 and promptly joined the U.S. Navy proudly serving as a submariner until his honorable discharge in 1968. He then enrolled in Montclair State University graduating in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in Business. Bob enjoyed a very successful career in sales. He married his wife Kay in 1978 in Livingston, New Jersey where they lived for 18 years before moving to Rhinelander in 1996 to build their dream log home on a local lake. Bob then worked at Oldenberg before retiring in 2006.
Bob and his wife loved to travel having been to many foreign countries and around the U.S. He also loved craft shows, canoeing, walking in the woods, woodworking and his cats.
Bob is survived by his wife Kay, sisters Corrine Main of Honesdale, Pa., Marie (Bill) Ramsden of Chocowinity, N.C., his mother-in-law Clarice Winquist, brothers-in-law Ron (Dawn) Winquist of Rhinelander, David Bowers of Palm Court, Fla., his sister-in-law Jo-Ann Winquist of Rhinelander, many nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Adrienne Bowers, his father-in-law George Winquist, brothers-in-law Robert Main and Richard Winquist and his nephew Keith Winquist.
A memorial service for Bob will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11 a.m., with visitation from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials are being established in Bob's name Oneida County Animal Shelter or Wild Instincts. You may leave your private condolences for the Hasal family at www.carlsonfh.com.
