Allan Michael Szews
Allan Michael Szews of Fruitland, Idaho., and formerly of Birnamwood and Rhinelander, died at the St. Luke's hospital on July 25, 2018, surrounded by his family.
Allan was born Sept. 9, 1960 in Wausau, to Eugene and Donna Szews. He married Carol Ederer on July 19, 1984 in Wausau. He had his first son, Brandon, on Dec. 25, 1984; his daughter, Natalie, on Dec. 16, 1987; and his second son, Eugene, on March 4, 2004. He lived in Rhinelander until 2014 when he moved to Fruitland.
Allan is survived by his mother Donna Szews of Birnamwood; his wife Carol Szews of Fruitland; his children Brandon (Kim) Szews of Houston, Natalie Szews of Eau Claire and Eugene Szews of Fruitland; his grandchildren, Modesty Lirones, Dominic Lirones, Temperance Lirones, Sebastian Szews, and Constance Szews of Houston. He is also survived by his sisters Diane (Dwight) Tolk, Debra Pierzchalski, Sandra (Doug) Sanders, Sharon (Peter) Krull, Lori (David) Lussier, Lynn (Clint) Boettcher, Amy (Mike) Milligan, and brother Michael Szews. He was an uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceeded in death by his father Eugene Szews, brother-in-law David Pierzchalski and nephew Robert Pierzchalski.
Allan was an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman. He loved to be outdoors and shared his interests with others. At the time of his death he was a certified welding inspector for ARO Testing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the AWS.
Funeral services were held at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette, Idaho. on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. After the service, a celebration of life was held at the Portia Club in Payette.
A celebration of Allan's life will also be held at a later date in Wisconsin.
