Patricia "Pat" Hagen

Patricia "Pat" Hagen, age 89, died Sept. 2, 2018, surrounded by her children, after a long full life.

Pat was born Jan. 1, 1929 to Patrick and Grace (White) Deau.  She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1946. Pat was united in marriage to Jerome "Doc" Hagen on Jan. 20, 1951.

While Pat worked at Montgomery Ward for many years, her true calling was as a mother to her seven children. Together Pat and Doc created a loving and nurturing home for their children.

She is survived by her siblings: Delore Deau of King, Wis. and Dorothy Hooker of Rhinelander; children: Anne Vanney and Grace Hagen (Jeff Scandin) of Rhinelander; Dorothy (Mike) Donnelly of Lake Mills, Jeff Hagen (Jen Roberts) of Marshfield, Jenny (Carl) Millholland of Monona, Connie (Mark) O'Connell of Sun Prairie, Gregg Hagen (Scott Toppel) of Elgin, Illinois; 12 grandchildren: Sheila, Fran and Rick Vanney, Angie Adams, Nicole Schwartz, Katie and Jenny Donnelly, Deanna Tushoski, Emma Millholland; Joe, Seamus and Clare O'Connell; two great-grandchildren,  Sean Crumley and Cian O'Connell and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

The visitation for Patricia took place on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Fr. Kevin Farrell, Dn. Michael Harvey and Dn, Ron Bosi officiated. The Committal Service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery. 

Her family wishes to thank Deacon Mike Harvey for the years of spiritual support and Mary Hauser, her caregiver and friend.

The compassion and support of Milestones Senior Living, Ascension Hospice Care and Deacon Ron Bosi will be remembered and is greatly appreciated by the family.
