Buzzy graduated from the Rhinelander High School in 1953. After his schooling he served in the U.S. Navy, on the USS Neches and Mispillion. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to Rhinelander and was employed by the Rhinelander Paper Company for 43 years, retiring in 1996. For numerous winters Buzzy and Barbara enjoyed time in Arizona and maybe a trip or two to the casino.
In his spare time Buzzy enjoyed swimming, picnicking at Crystal Lake, hunting deer and Grouse, playing softball and snowshoe baseball. He also loved watching the boys in Little League. Buzzy enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed building projects and taking care of his own house and yard.
