Rosealie Grant

Rosealie Grant, age 67 of Rhinelander, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in the company of her family. She was born Jan. 11, 1952, in Rhinelander,r to Alvin and Maxine (Gilman) Dumpprope.

Rosealie graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1970. In addition to raising her family of four children, she was employed at Triumph Twist Drill. Following the plant's closing, she held various other jobs until her retirement. Rosealie married Scott Grant on June 27, 1992. She enjoyed rides viewing the beauty of the Northwoods, watching the birds at her feeder, fishing when it was warm enough, and trips to the casino.

Rosealie is survived by her husband, Scott Grant of Rhinelander; her four children, Tony (Heather) Dumpprope of Elcho, Kathy (Tom) Quandt of Rhinelander, Michael Young of Wausau, and Kenneth Young of Rhinelander; two stepsons, Jason (Tiffany) Grant of Conover and Ryan Grant of Omro; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diane (Ray) Dodge of Rhinelander and Sue (Jeff) Manthey of La Crosse; four brothers, Gary Dumpprope, Larry Dumpprope, Dan (Betty) Dumpprope, and Jeff Dumpprope, all of Rhinelander; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Maxine; a sister, Donna Larch; and an uncle, Ronnie Gilman.

A memorial service for Rosealie will be held at noon Saturday, May 18, 2019, at the Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) with Deacon Mike Harvey officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Inurnment will take place in Forest Home Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Ascension Home Health and St. Mary's Hospital as well as the paramedics from the Rhinelander Fire Department for the care and comfort they provided Rosealie during her illness.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests support of a memorial in Rosealie's name and contributions may be directed in care of her family.
