John T. Trayne
John T. Trayne, age 74 of the Town of Newbold, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 19, 2020 at his home with his life partner Brenda at his side and under the care of Ascension at Home Hospice.
John was born in Hammond, Ind. on Sept. 30, 1945, the son of John and Anna M. (Kocka) Trayne.
For the first 12 years John lived in Hammond. The family then moved to Calumet City, Ill. where John graduated in 1963 from the Thornton Fractional North High School.
He was then drafted into the U.S. Army where he served his country for four years.
Upon returning from the military John was employed in the Steel Mills in Gary, Ind. He was then employed for the next 34 years with Indiana Public Service, retiring in 2000.
After retiring John lived in Portage, Ind. for a short period of time. He then moved to Eagle River in 2001 living there until 2011 when he then moved to Rhinelander.
John enjoyed riding his Harley, snowmobiling and driving his antique T-Bird.
He will be dearly missed by his life partner, Brenda Tutrow, and his three sisters, Susan (Rick) Bakker, Laura Thornton and Jeanne (Chuck) Satterfield. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Anna Trayne, one brother, James Trayne and by one sister, Diane Hensley.
At John's request there will be no visitation or service.
