Julia M. Eaker
Julia M. Eaker, age 88, of the Town of Pelican passed away at home on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021.
Julia was born in Joliet, Ill. on Nov. 4, 1932, to Theodore A. and Margaret H. (Swiggert) Anderson. Julia was raised in Joliet and Lockport, Ill. She was united in marriage to William Meurer in Lockport, Ill. on May 29, 1951 and were married for 15 years. She then married Paul J. Eaker in Joliet, Ill. on Feb. 17, 1968. Julia has lived in Rhinelander since 2007.
Julia will be remembered for always wanting to spend time with her family and making her children laugh.
She is survived by her children: Coleen (Donald) Herman of Rhinelander, William (Lisa) Meurer of Irma, Thomas Meurer of North Pole, Wis., Robert Meurer of Rhinelander, Timothy (Tanja) Eaker of Wilmington, Ill. and Paul J. (Michelle) Eaker II. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; twin brother, Charles (Donna) Anderson of Lockport, Ill. and a sister, Cheryl Smolich of LaFarge. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, second husband Paul J. Eaker; one son Louis Meurer, three brothers, Robert Anderson, Kenneth Anderson and Jay Anderson and one stepson, Joseph Eaker.
At Julia's request, there will be no visitation or service.
