Patrick A. Blumreich

Patrick A. Blumreich, age 70, of Rhinelander, died on Feb. 13, 2021 at the UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on Oct. 6, 1950, in Rhinelander, the son of Charles and Marion (Thomas) Blumreich.

Pat was raised in Rhinelander and attended schools here. He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1969.

Aftter his schooling he was employed by Triumph Twist Drill for quite a few years. After the closing of Twist Drill he went to work for the Rhinelander Paper Company. He retired from the mill just a couple of years ago.

Pat was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was also a longtime instructor with the Hunter Safety Program. He enjoyed helping kids both through the Lutheran Pioneers at Zion and the Hunter Safety program. He enjoyed all sports and loved to fish and hunt. Pat was always someone you looked forward to seeing. He had a great sense of humor and sincerely cared about both his family and friends and what was going on in their lives.

Pat is survived by his children Kim Johnson, Kevin (Amber) Blumreich and Bryan (Cassie) Geertgens, his granddaughter Kinsley, his siblings Linda Schmidt, Terry Sackett, Cheri Guenther Sandy (Ken) Zahn; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Deb Johnson and his brother Frank Lawetzski.

Due to the pandemic, services for Pat will be held at a later date. You may leave your private condolences for the family at The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at the UW Hospital for the loving care they gave Pat.

The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414)is serving the Blumreich family.

When I served St. Mark Lutheran Church 1971-85, Pat was a member there most, if not all those years. He always was fun to be around and welcomed my wife and me to many family picnics.

Pat was my cousin & I remember so many fun times at his parent's home with him & sister Sandy. My deepest sympathy to his family.
