Harry R. Gross, age 93, of the Town of Gleason, formerly of Rhinelander, died on Aug. 8, 2021, at his home. He was born on July 3, 1928, in Rhinelander, the son of William and Antoinette (Olkoski) Gross. Harry was born and raised in Rhinelander and attended schools here. After his schooling he enlisted in the U.S. Army, After his honorable discharge he returned to Rhinelander and was employed by the Atlas Plywood Company. Harry then moved to the Milwaukee area and was employed as a machinist until his retirement. He then returned to Rhinelander and has lived here since.
Harry had many interests which included berry picking. metal detecting and making wine. He enjoyed a couple of trips to Alaska to try his hand at panning gold.
Harry is survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Alice Cook and his brother Donald.
Graveside services for Harry were held at the Forest Home Cemetery on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in the Forest Home Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the Gross family at www.carlsonfh.com.
