Shorty A. Wolf

Shorty "Gerald" A. Wolf, 68, of Rhinelander, passed away on Wednesday evening, Oct. 6, 2021, at his home with his loving family at his side.

Shorty was born in Rhinelander on Dec. 16, 1952 to Warner C. and Eleanor (Rukic) Wolf. He was raised in Rhinelander and was a 1972 graduate of Rhinelander High School. He was united in marriage to Teresa A. Dodge on May 13, 1977 at the Oneida County Courthouse.

Shorty worked as a carpenter and landscaper.

He enjoyed playing horseshoes for the Country Bar and Little Rock. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors and enjoying wildlife. He will be remembered for stopping no matter where he was and picking wild rose bouquets for Terry.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Terry; children: Clarence (Jennifer) Wolf of North Carolina, Patches Towne of Rhinelander and Paula Wolf of Rhinelander, adopted son Steve Quade of Rhinelander; seven grandchildren: Nate (fiancé Abby), Bobby, Russ, Cobi, Dylan, Summer and Shammy; brothers Dennis (Sue) Wolf of Rhinelander, Kevin Wolf of Rhinelander; two sisters Arlene (George) of Rhinelander and Lori Wolf of Rhinelander. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Shorty is preceded in death by his parents, Warner and Eleanor Wolf, and by two sisters, Karen Miller and Darlene (Bruce) Litzen.

A Celebration of Shorty's Life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at the Country Bar 2310 County Rd G, Rhinelander, beginning at 1 p.m.

I remember Gerald. He was a friend of my brother Curt. He spent a lot of time at our house when we were kids. Sorry for your loss. Karen
