Richard "Bud" W. Olscheske Sr.

Richard "Bud" W. Olscheske Sr., of Pelican Lake, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022.

Bud was born on Aug. 7, 1928, in Milwaukee, to Arthur and Hilda (Peters) Olscheske. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Charlene Smole, on Aug. 28, 1948, in West Allis. Bud was employed as a Voltage Regulator with Wisconsin Electric Power Co. (now WE Energies) for over 30 years. He retired in 1985 and soon after, he and Charlene relocated Pelican Lake, residing in the house he helped his father build by hand in 1953. They spent the winters in Weeki Wachee, Florida golfing and flea marketing until Char's passing in 2009.

Bud was proud to have been a former member of the Elcho Lions Club and Bass Lake Country Club. He loved golfing, fishing, deer hunting, and a good Manhattan cocktail. Bud had a passion for watching all types of sports, from golf to boxing, and enthusiastically followed his local sports teams, such as the Packers, Badgers and Brewers.

Bud was known for his blunt way of speaking and great sense of humor, always ready to share a joke with anyone that was up for a good laugh. You never knew what he might say.

He will be missed by his son, Richard W. Olscheske Jr., three grandchildren, Ryan (Audrey) Olscheske of Milwaukee, Natalie (Scott) Rousseau of Richfield, and Ashley Olscheske of Lena, and by four great-grandchildren, Amelia, Destiny, Sophia, and Jaxon. Also surviving are other relatives and friends.

Following Bud's wishes, no services will be held.
