Donald G. Duchow, age 70, of Harshaw, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at his home. Don was born in Monroe, on Nov. 29, 1951, to the late Rodney and Dorothy (Long) Duchow. He met his soulmate, Virginia "Virg" Kurth, in 1980; she survives.
Don grew up in Monroe and moved to Harshaw when he was 12. He attended Rhinelander High School where he was a 1969 graduate. Don worked for many years as a machinist for Drott Manufacturing and later J. I. Case. He then was employed at Boldt Construction as a millwright; retiring in 2017.
Don had a passion for motorcycles, loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed collecting and finding deals. He was a member of the Cassian Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include the love of his life, Virginia Kurth, of Harshaw. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Dorothy; two brothers, Dale and Ron "Sonny"; and one sister, Janice Randolph.
A celebration of life gathering for Donald Duchow will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Generations Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation from noon until the time of services at 2 p.m. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
