William Glen Heath, 81, of Rhinelander, passed away on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23, 2022, at his home with his family at his side.
Bill was born in Iola, Kansas on Sept. 13, 1941, to William G. and Kathryn (Rowden) Heath and was raised in Iola. He served in the Kansas National Guard for two years.
He was employed by a survey crew which came to Rhinelander in 1966 and remained here until 1967. During this time, Bill met Marlene Dietzler. In 1967, Bill and Marlene were married at the Rhinelander courthouse and later were formally married at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They lived in Rhinelander and Bill began working at Marplex as a forklift driver. He was employed with Marplex for 27 years. He later was employed at Walmart in the maintenance department. Bill, along with Marlene, bowled in a couple's league. He also participated in a softball team through St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Bill was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching any type of sports on TV.
Surviving is his wife, Marlene, children, Carla (Rick) Treder of Lake Tomahawk, and Thomas (Nancy) Heath of Marathon, and three grandchildren, Dylan, Kaitlynn, and Paul. Bill is preceded in death by his parents.
Private services will be held.
