Robert "Bob" Meyers, age 70, of Rhinelander passed away on Nov. 12, 2022 at Tomahawk Health Services in Tomahawk. He was born on July 18, 1952, in Rhinelander, to William and Dolores (Hoffman) Meyers.
Bob graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1970. He then attended Nicolet College where he obtained an Associate of Arts Degree and UW-Stevens Point where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Business Psychology and Sociology. He bartended in Eau Claire and eventually made his way back to Rhinelander where he started a family and managed the Knight Gallery. He opened The Yellow Rose saloon in 1990 and owned it for a number of years where he worked hard, told stories and made friends.
Living on the Pelican River most of his life, Bob loved nature. He and brother Mikey would hunt together often. In his later years he preferred the serenity of his cabin, his sports, and his "animals". He would travel out west most winters to camp and see the sights. Bob will be missed by many but his stories will live on. The world is a quieter place without you! Until we meet again...
Bob is survived by his daughters Rachel (Joseph) Boehlen and Lindsey (Dillon) Probst, and his grandchildren Levi, June, Tavin, Emma and Grayson, other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike.
Bob chose not to have a public memorial but you may leave your private condolences for Bob's daughters at www.carlsonfh.com.
The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is serving his family.
