Carol F. Doede (Vollmer), age 88, passed away on Dec. 7, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander. Carol was born on Feb. 16, 1934, in Manitowoc, the daughter of Henry and Florence (nee Rehrauer) Vollmer. She married Duane Doede on Sept. 28, 1957, he preceded her in death on June 10, 2022.
Carol was the co-owner and operator of Chef's Fresh Pizza in Menasha for many years. She enjoyed going to her card club, crossword puzzles, reading books and her People Magazines. She loved getting her hair done on Friday and loved a great shrimp dinner with onion rings or cheese curds and a glass of White Zinfandel.
Carol is survived by her son Michael (Linda) Doede of Rhinelander, daughter Chris (Jeffrey) Schommer of Arbor Vitae, daughter Pauline Hill of Plymouth; her grandchildren Stacie (Clark) Valukas, Stephanie (Alan) Ammerman, Matthew (Alyssa) Schommer, Benjamin Doede and Jessica Doede; her great-grandchildren Olin Valukas, Macie and Hannah Ammerman, Leddy and Sonya Schommer; her brothers Paul and Terry Vollmer and by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Duane, her parents Henry and Florence Vollmer, her brothers Eugene and James, and her sister, Edith.
Upon her wishes, cremation took place and private family services will be held at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff.
