Barry Dean Scheuermann died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022 in his home with his loving wife Sherry holding his hand. He was born on Jan. 19, 1965, in Oshkosh, and passed at the age of 57.
Barry & Sherry got married in 1984 and quickly began their lives in the military. Barry served as an 88M Motor Transport Operator in the Desert Storm War. When he came home from Iraq he became a Licensed Practical Nurse and used it to care for others in the many places the Scheuermann family lived. They lived in Texas, Germany, Virginia and settled down back in Wisconsin where their families are from. He loved his time getting to know and take care of his community, from watching the Packers down at Town and Country, to hunting in South Dakota. He affected every person he came in contact with.
He is survived by his wife Sherry Scheuermann and his children and spouses: Tavi & Aaron White, Travis & Laura Scheuermann, Talin & Cassie Scheuermann, Troy & Katie Scheuermann and Tyler & Brianna Scheuermann.
He is survived by his grandchildren: Allisynn White, Audrina White, Jace White, Isla Scheuermann, Abner Dean Scheuermann, Dorothy Scheuermann, Charlie Scheuermann, Zion Barry Scheuermann, Landon Scheuermann, Elaine Scheuermann & Vera Scheuermann. He is also survived by his siblings and spouses: Peter Scheuermann, Bonna & Randall Lawrence, Rachel & Terry Wilson, Preston & Kristy Scheuermann, Saralee & Paul Ellenbecker and all of those his parents adopted and cared for over the years.
He is also survived by 27 nieces & nephews, and their spouses and children, all of which he cared for deeply. Lastly, he is survived by his infinite number of family, friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m., with memorial services following at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at the Carlson Funeral Home in Rhinelander.
Reverends Randall Lawrence and Terry Wilson officiated. Interment will be in the Northwoods National Cemetery. A complete notice will follow here and in the River News.
