Robert J. Meyers
Robert J. Meyers, age 91 of Pine Lake, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at Tomahawk Health Services in Tomahawk. He was born on June 7, 1931, in Kenosha, the son of William and Iva (Richer) Meyers.
Robert was born in Kenosha and attended schools there. After his schooling he served in the United States Army, specifically the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he returned to the States and eventually moved to Rhinelander. In Rhinelander, he was employed by the Rhinelander Paper Company and then as a firefighter with the Rhinelander Fire Department. In his spare time he enjoyed going to casinos, old cars, and occasional rummage sales.
Robert is survived by his daughters Patricia (Marty) Lewis, Susan Meyers and Sandra Delebeck, his sons Robert Meyers, Michael Meyers and William (Melissa) Meyers, his 10 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Matthew Meyers, great-grandson Jayden Meyers, and his sister Genevieve Thomas.
Visitation for Robert will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Carlson Funeral Home. Committal prayers and honor detail will be held at the Northwoods National Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023.
