Clare Kuczmarski, 88, of Rhinelander, passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital.
Clare was born in Rhinelander, on May 15, 1934, to John W. and Helen (Dwyer) Kelley. Raised in Rhinelander, Clare was a 1952 graduate of Rhinelander High School. She met her future husband, Donald Kuczmarski, in high school where they became high school sweethearts. The couple were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church on August 29, 1953. While raising four children, Clare was employed with the Oneida County Highway Department and later as a medical transcriber with St. Mary's Hospital.
Clare was a member of St. Mary's/Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
She was an avid Bridge player, enjoyed winters for many years in Bullhead City, Arizona, knitting, crocheting, and donating socks, hats and sweaters to various charities, but most of all, Clare loved her family and the city of Rhinelander.
Clare will be dearly missed by her children, John (Lynn), Colleen (Rick), Brian (Linda), and Patrick; grandchildren, Marcus, Mackenzee, Heather, Ryan, Dillon, Emma, Meghan, and Kyle. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald W. Kuczmarski, on Dec. 3, 2019.
The visitation for Clare, will take place on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at the Hildebrand Funeral Home from noon until the 2 p.m. memorial service. Fr. Chris Kemp will officiate.
Immediately following the memorial service, there will be a procession to Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery for the committal service.
