Sharon Anne Meyer, 64, of Rhinelander, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday evening, Feb. 5, 2023.
Sharon was born in Waukesha on July 13, 1958, to Bruce D. and Kathleen L. (Wischer) Wicklund. At the age of two, Sharon and her family move to El Paso, Texas, living there for five years. The family moved back to Waukesha where Sharon would graduate in 1976 from Waukesha South High School. She had been a bank teller for various banks in Milwaukee, Waukesha and Rhinelander. Sharon was united in marriage to William Meyer on July 28, 1984, at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa. They made their home in Milwaukee and Waukesha before moving to Rhinelander in 1996.
Sharon was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Pine Lake Flames.
Sharon enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, being a hockey grandma, cooking, baking, fishing, and camping in the Ashland, and Bayfield areas including Saxon Harbor.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Bill, children, Erika (Paul) Rugolo of Arizona, Brittany (Jason Faust) Meyer of Rhinelander, Bryan Meyer (Jessica Meyer) of Rhinelander, Carol (Jason) Shattuck of Rhinelander, 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two more on the way, siblings, Sheri (Bill) Stricker of West Allis, Wisconsin, Terry (Linda) Wicklund of Sullivan, Wis., Ricky (Sandra) Wicklund of Lyndon Station, Wis., Randy (Jon) Wicklund of Oklahoma City, Okla., Julie (Cory Schmidt) Wicklund of Plymouth, Wis., and Karen (Troy Neatherlin) Wicklund of Brookfield. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Kathleen Wicklund, three children, Earl and twin sons, and by a brother, Todd Wicklund.
A Celebration of Sharon's Life will take place on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, at the Pine Lake Town Hall, located at 4197 River Road, Rhinelander, from 11: a.m. until 4 p.m.
