Agnes Marie Paulman
Agnes Marie Paulman, age 71, of Rhinelander, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at Wausau Manor in Wausau. She was born on Sept. 5, 1951, at Newport Hospital in Ironwood, Michigan, to the late John and Helen (Stefaniak) Turk of Bessemer, Michigan. She attended Bessemer Schools and graduated from AD Johnston in 1969.
On Aug. 14, 1976, she married James Paulman at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bergland, Mich. They had 41 years together before Jim's passing on Nov. 2, 2017.
Aggie worked at Iron Wood Products in Bessemer before they moved to Rhinelander in 1980. She worked in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn, Sport and Spine, and cleaned private homes. In her spare time, she bowled on the Country Bar team on the Tuesday Ladies Friendly League.
Aggie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Robert "Bawb" and Julie Turk, her sister and brother-in-law Anna and Lawrence Levijoki, all of Rhinelander, her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephew, as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents John and Helen Turk, two brothers John and Edward Turk, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Barbara and Louis Paulman, and her brother-in-law Tom Paulman.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Wausau Manor for their care and making Aggie comfortable in her final days. She will be missed.
A joint burial for Aggie and Jim will take place at the Bergland Cemetery, Hwy. 64, Bergland, Mich, in the spring.
