Mary Jean Morey died Nov. 20, 2015 in Eagle River. She was born July 28, 1933, to Al and Edna Duncan, in Rhinelander. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1951. She attended Gustavus Adolphus College for two years. Later she was employed in Madison by Aeronautic Department. She and her husband delivered papers for Rhinelander Daily News. Survivors include nephews and several grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband Jay Morey, one daughter Ruth Ellen and one brother William Duncan.

Gerald Nicholas "Gerry" Fercello, age 86, of Rhinelander, died on June 20, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 31, 1929, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Nick and Ida (Vechell) Fercello. He spent his childhood in St. Paul graduating from Johnson High School in 1947. He then attended the University of Minnesota graduating in 1951 and Macalaster College, graduating from there in 1955.

Sandra F. Onson, 72, of Rhinelander, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rhinelander. Sandra was born Oct. 4, 1943 in Rhinelander, the daughter of Julius and Lois (Hunter) Petta. Sandra loved stamping and spending time with her family.

Gerald Fercello, age 86, of Rhinelander, died June 20, 2016, at his home, in Rhinelander. Gerry was born July 31, 1929 in St. Paul, Minn. to Nicholas and Ida Fercello.

Funeral services are set for Friday, June 24, 2016 and visitation on Thursday, June 23.

Betty Dickson, a lifelong resident of Rhinelander, died June 17, 2016, at Syverson Lutheran Nursing Home in Eau Claire. Betty was born in Rhineland-er on Oct. 15, 1921, the daughter of Leo and Dorothy (Dimmick) Hildebrand. She was a 1940 graduate of Rhinelander High School and attended secretarial college in Madison. After graduation, she moved to Washington D.C. and married her high school sweetheart, Raymond (Dick) Dickson, on Oct. 31, 1942.

Dorene "Dorie" Kay Boote passed away at her home in Lecanto, Florida, on Marsh 25, 2016. She was born in Tomahawk on Sept. 18, 1950. She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1968. She pursued her career as a beautician in Milwaukee until she moved to Florida in 2010.

Dorie was artistically gifted, loved to cook and spend time with her dog, Gibby.

Gladys Ann Gritzmacher, age 71 of Rhinelander, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Friendly Village. She was born March 11, 1945, in Milwau-kee, to Stephen and Dorothy (Garrow) Novak.

Gladys married Helmuth "Butch" Gritzmacher on Jan. 25, 1963, and together they raised their family of three children. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed camping trips with Butch.

Cara Marie Bauer was born Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 7:59 a.m., to Dan and Jenna Bauer, Rhinelander, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau. She weighed 3lbs and was 15 1/2 inches long. She passed peacefully in the arms of her family and was welcomed into heaven shortly after she was born.

Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force in January of 1951 during the Korean War.

Clarice M. Ritchie, "Was mo gishek" "Lightning Sky" 81, of Crandon passed away June 4, 2016. Clarice was born March 11, 1935 in Crandon, the daughter of Valentine and Marie (Neumann) Ritchie. She was a historian for the Potawatomi Historical Society, a Potawatomi Elder, worked with the Ladies Aid at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Crandon, and was an ARDC board member.

Rick was born Dec. 18, 1944, in Milwaukee, to Gilbert and Elizabeth (Lowe) Wohlers. He married Ruth (Dusterhoft) Radke on April 15, 1991 in Las Vegas.

James L. Petersen, age 79, of Rhinelander, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Riverview Nursing Home in Toma-hawk. He was born May 16, 1937, in Rhinelander, to Alfred and Florence (Gustafson) Petersen.

Jim served in the U.S. Air Force and married the former Stephanie Person. He enjoyed working in his gardens and spending time in his shop. Jim will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Violet and Arthur are survived by Violet's two daughters, Rose (the late Ted) Pratt, Kewaunee; Diane (Gary) Janssen, Green Bay; two sons: Mike (Diana) Kiederlen, St. Cloud, Florida; Kenneth (Cindie) Martiny, Saucier, Mississippi.

Edwin L. Schufletowski, age 86, of Tripoli, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. He was born July 1, 1929, in Toma-hawk to Lawrence and Ida (Nibler) Schufletowski.

Ed graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1947. He married Zona Datel Oct. 14, 1950, in Tripoli and together they raised their family of four children and were blessed to have 65 years together. Ed was employed in construction and became a steamfitter with S&Z Construction. He was involved in many projects until his retirement in 1991.

Emily P. Brasch passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John G. Brasch, and sisters Mary Ellen Reid, and Elizabeth (Ibby) Dickerson. She is survived in loving memory by her children Richard (wife Carole Schmidt, and children Kiah and Max), Susan, and David. She will be greatly missed by the Reid and Dickerson families, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Tyrone E. Schave, 78 of Rhinelander, sailed his best race ever on May 23 2016 when he came in first and received his heavenly crown. Heaven not only received a great sailor but a master gardener. He was born Dec. 18, 1937 to Herbert and Mabel (Baumann) in Wausau. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy for four years in the 103rd Battalion.

Brian Donald Herrick, age 73, of Rhinelander, died Feb. 19, 2016 at the St. Clare's Hospital in Weston. Brian was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Wisconsin Rapids, to Donald and Agnes (Bauer) Herrick.

Brian grew up in Waukesha and after finishing school he joined the U.S. Navy. He served 8 years with the Navy and then continued with the National Guard. On July 25, 1970 he married Janet Laddusire in Rhinelander.

William Isadore Zellinger, "Zell," age 59, of Rhine-lander, died peacefully May 23, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born June 5, 1956, in Rhinelander, to Robert and Terese (Tuhalski) Zellinger. Bill attended schools in Rhinelander graduating from the Rhinelander High School in 1974. After his schooling he was employed by Concrete Products for a short while before going to work for the city of Rhinelander. He was a heavy equipment operator for the city for over 32 years, retiring in 2012.

Llewellyn Jay Miller, known to all as "Bing Miller," 79, of Fairview, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home. He was born June 23, 1936 in Rhinelander, the son of the late Leon Jay Miller and Vera Audrey Hansen (Miller). He attended school in Rhinelander, graduating from Rhinelander High School in 1954. He enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1962.

Glen R. Herman, 51, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Harshaw Sunday, May 22, 2016.

The son of Thomas and Dorothy Herman, he was born Jan. 11, 1965, the youngest of 12 children.

Glen attended Cassian-Woodboro Elementary School and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1983. He also attended Nicolet College in Rhinelander for two years.

John was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Rhinelander, to Gunnar and Jennie (Cronan) Bernsteen.

Anita Buesching, age 79, of Rhinelander, passed away on Jan. 24, 2016.

Survivors include her children Bill Buesching, Jody Mullen, Cheryl Johnson and Karen (Buck) Eckert, other family and many friends.

Memorial services for Anita will be held on May 28, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at the Spider Lake boat landing in McNaughton.

Lily (Bucholz) Muenchow went to her enternal home May 15, 2016. She was lovingly cared for at Evergreen Place-Mountview Wausau. Lily was born Feb. 13, 1920, to Carl and Bertha (Heideman) Bucholz.

She married Rudolph Muenchow on Aug. 24,1940 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 29. 2008.

She was also predeceased by her parents and siblings Bill, Anna, Margaret, Ovila, Ed, Erna, Adeline, Loretta, Emil, and Leona.

Donald George Pazdernik, age 89, passed away at the Veterans Home in King on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Donald was born Dec. 13, 1926, in Rhinelander, to Edward and Anna (Garvue) Pazdernik.

He was raised in Rhinelander and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1944. He served our country in Germany during World War II as a soldier in the U.S. Army. Donald worked in Milwaukee, Rhinelander and Hazelhurst before retiring. Donald enjoyed visiting with people and spending time with family members.

James A. Piasecki
James A. Piasecki of Sugar Camp passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at his residence, at the age of 76. He was born in Rhinelander on May 25, 1939, the son of August and Angeline (Kanvoskie) Piasecki.

James attended grade school in Sugar Camp and Rhinelander High School.

At the age of 17, James enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he received his GED and proudly served his country from 1956 until 1976. James proudly served his country in Vietnam and had been stationed in San Diego, California. He retired from the Navy with the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

Robert Lee Wikel, beloved husband of Patricia Mather Wikel, was called to his eternal resting place on May 15, 2016, at the age of 66. He entered this world on June 27, 1949 in Milwaukee, born to Erving and Hilda Wikel. He is survived by his wife Patricia, mother Hilda Wikel; sisters Donna Cipro, Gale Yun, Betty (Sam) Wikel, Alice Wikel, and Lona Schrimpf. He is also survived by his two dogs, Greta and Jake. He was preceded in death by his father, Erving, his brother, Jimmy, and his two dogs, Augie and Callie. He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Michael R. "Mike" Kegley, age 50, of Argonne, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Mike was born in Rhinelander on March 19, 1966, the son of Dennis and Dorothy (Conn) Kegley. He lived all of his life in the Crandon and Argonne area. He owned and operated Northwoods Roofing and Construction. Mike also had several rental properties in the area.

Alfred E. "Fritz" Schmidt
Alfred E. "Fritz" Schmidt, age 89, of Kaukauana, died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at St Paul Hospice. He was born in the town of Buchanan on Dec. 9, 1926, to the late Frank and Marie (Hartzheim) Schmidt. Fritz enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 16, 1945 and served until Nov. 23, 1946. He served as a sergeant in Japan during the rebuilding efforts of World War II. Fritz married Eunice M. Gerrits on Oct. 9, 1948, at St Francis in Hollandtown. He worked for CW Transport for 35 years until his retirement.

She attended schools in the Appleton area graduating from Kaukauna High School in 1947. Lois was employed for a good share of her working career as a legal secretary/office manager for a law firm and then later for the school district.

John Jacovitch, age 86, of Rhinelander, died May 9, 2016, in Rhinelander. He was born Feb. 8, 1930, in West Virginia, to Nicholas and Domnica (Nichitory) Jacovitch. He was the youngest of 11 children. John served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he began his career as a nuclear physicist. He retired in 1989 and moved to Rhinelander where he has lived since. He married Delores French on July 11, 1987.

Edward "Mike" A. Mikkelson
Edward "Mike" A. Mikkelson, age 92, of Rhinelander, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Friendly Village Nursing and Rehab. He was born Aug. 16, 1923, in Virginia, Minnesota to Edward T. and Clara (Heisner) Mikkelson.

Mike proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Aug.15, 1953, he married the former Donna May Miller in Rhinelander. Mike was part of the construction crew that built the original Daniel's Packaging plant and was offered a job with company upon the project's completion.

Shirley R. Terzynski passed away Feb. 15, 2016 at Ministry St. Mary's hospital at the age of 91. She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Rhinelander, to William and Kitty (Reid) Zumach.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home with Deacon Ron Bosi officiating. Inurnment will be at Nativity of Our Lord Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Paul W. Schnoor
Paul W. Schnoor, age 49, of Rhinelander, died of cancer April 26, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born Sept. 1, 1966, in Merrill, to William and Rhae Ellen (Neunast) Schnoor.

Paul attended schools in Rhinelander graduating from RHS in 1984. He was employed at Printpack until his failing health forced his retirement.

Paul married the love of his life, Sherri Ohlsson, on April 24, 1987. It was so important to him that he held on to the end to celebrate their 29th anniversary.
