Norman Joseph Keso

Norman Joseph Keso passed away March 30, 2019 at his residence with his loving family at his side.

Norm was born Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1936, the son of Samuel Keso and Helen (Van Norman) Keso.

Norman was adventurous with a passion for fishing, hunting and loved traveling. He was a genuine kind-hearted and free-spirited man, who took life with an optimistic view and a light- hearted attitude. Norman was a friend to all and judge of none. He was united in marriage to Nancy Pollack.

Norm was employed by Eckert Wrecking Company for 37 years and Hodag Fest.

He attended a school for the hearing impaired in Wausau and a vocational school where he learned many woodworking skills.

He became very good at woodworking and made many beautiful things. He enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, hunting trips to Colorado, fishing trips to Canada, playing cards and traveling.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy Keso; daughter, Norma (Tod) Wallace of Rhinelander; two grandchildren, Ross and Rilay Wallace of Rhinelander; stepdaughter, Debra (Richard) West of Monico, stepson Kevin (Karen) Frisque of Eagle River; brothers, Everett (Helen) Keso of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alvin (Margaret) Keso of Antigo, and sister-in-law Beverly Keso of Rhinelander.

Also surviving are many family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; sisters, Margaret Arrowood, Ramona Hitz, Shirley Wright, Sylvia Boyd, and a brother James Keso.

He will be truly missed by all and will be remembered for his smiles, laughter and his special personality. Norman was always full of surprises and was known for his pranks and his joking around.

The visitation for Norman will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Hildebrand Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service. Deacon Al Goodrich will be officiating.

Immediately following the service there will be a procession to the Sugar Camp Cemetery for the committal service.

Norman's family would like to extend a special thank you to Ascension at Home Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion they provided
