Jack W. Antonuk, Sr.

Jack W. Antonuk, Sr. died peacefully in Hudson, on May 16, 2019 at the age of 69. He was born Oct. 1, 1949, in Milwaukee, to Adam and June Antonuk.

Jack grew up in Rhinelander and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1968. He worked at the Rhinelander Paper Company until retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman - he loved to hunt, fish, garden, and take drives through the country.

Jack is survived by his mother, June Antonuk; his children, Carrie (Mike) Steffel of St. Paul, Minn. and Jack Jr. (Krista) Antonuk of Cordova, Tenn. as well as grandchildren Anya Steffel, Camden Steffel, Brennan Antonuk and Cole Antonuk.

He is also survived by his dear friend, Gwen Kerchefski.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Adam Antonuk and wife, Mary Antonuk.

A memorial/social hour for Jack will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. May 24, 2019, at Pizza Haven Banquet Hall in Rhinelander.

We will miss Jack. He was a good friend of my dad's, Billl Kreft. After they were both retired they liked to visit and share a beer. Jack helped me twice when my railing on my back stairs broke - dad came and got it and took it to Jack and they welded it back together. My belief became that Jack had "every" type of equipment a true Northwoods Wisconsin man would ever need. My son got to go with "Grandpa" and get to know Jack also. Billie Kreft and Alex Towne
