Dena F. Kriesel, age 77, of Rhinelander, died Dec. 4, 2020 at the Tomahawk Health Services.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1943, in Drum, Okla., the daughter of Ralph and Dora (Combs) Rickner.
She attended schools in Oklahoma and after she graduated from high school she met Richard Kriesel who was serving in the Air Force in Oklahoma at the time.
They were married on Sept. 16, 1961 and God blessed them with almost 60 years of marriage and two wonderful children. Dena spent the greatest share of her adult life in Rhinelander.
Her interests were her family, first and foremost, her dogs and anything to do with hummingbirds.
Dena is survived by her husband Richard, her daughter Patricia (Richard) George, her son Richard (Nicole) Kriesel, her grandchildren R J, Amanda, Alexis and Emily, her two sisters Billie Hablestrat and Rena (Robert) Duckworth, her brother Donald (Caroline) Rickner, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Thomas and Dennis.
Graveside services for Dena were held on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 at the Newbold Memorial Cemetery.
