Delore John Deau

Delore John Deau, often referred to as "Fred" age 90 of Rhinelander passed on Oct. 2, 2020 at the Veterans Home in King with his children by his side. He was born on July 22, 1930, the son of Pat and Grace (White) Deau. Delore was a life-long resident of Rhinelander. He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1948 and immediately went into the Marine Corp and proudly served from 1948-1951. After his honorable discharge he returned to the family business - Pat's Tavern where he worked with his mother and father and later his son for 50 years.

Delore is survived by his daughters Jane (Mark) Jahnke, Kathy Deau and son Patrick (Connie) Deau. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Marie (Chris) Peterson, Carrie (Spiro) Avouris, Shawn (Chrissy Voelker) McDougall, Sheena (Ben Lemmer) McDougall, Hanna Deau, Patrice Deau, Katie Sweeney and Mike (Brenna) Sweeney; great-grandchildren: Grete and Garik Peterson, Lila and Evangeline Avouris, Aiden McDougall and Ava Sweeney; his sister, Dorothy Hooker, several nieces and nephews, other family and many friends. Delore was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Patsy Hagen, brothers-in-law George Hooker and Jerome Hagen and many dear friends.

Visitation for Delore will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Father Chris Kemp will be officiating. Interment with military honors will follow the services at the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the family at
