Susan Marie Bishop
Susan Marie Bishop, age 69, of Rhinelander died March 3, 2022, in Rhinelander. She was born Dec. 18, 1952, to Robert and Verna (Pecor) Pohnl.
Sue was a 1971 graduate of Rhinelander High School. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Thomas Bishop, Feb. 19, 1972. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She worked at BMO for many years until her retirement. Sue loved playing bingo, going to rummage sales and cooking. She loved her family and especially the new babies as they joined the family. Sue was one of the most kind, caring and good-hearted people you could ever meet.
Sue is survived by her husband Tom, son Nathan (Mandy) Gaedtke, grandchildren Tehya, Dawson, and Cora, mother-in-law Joyce Bishop, brothers Donald (Nancy) Pohnl and David (Nikki) Pohnl, sister Sally (Dick) Metz , brother-in-law's and sister-in-law's Mike (Val) Bishop, Barb (Joel) Knoeck, Terri Bishop, Sherry (Dennis) Kropodlowski, Jack (Bridget) Bishop, Jill Bishop, Lois (Steve) Godawa, Bill (Angie) Bishop, Rick (Pam) Bishop, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed by her faithful four-legged companions, Cody and Ellie.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents: Sally (Thelma) Poskie, Johnny (Selma) Pohnl, father in law: Clarence Bishop and Uncle Johnny Pohnl.She will be missed by her family and friends.
Visitation for Sue will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Carlson Funeral Home. You may leave your private condolences for the Bishop family at www.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is serving the Bishop family.
