Jerry E. Bauknecht, 76, a lifelong resident of Three Lakes, passed away at his home Sunday, March 6, 2022. Jerry was born Dec. 28, 1945 in Crandon, a son of June (Skidmore) and Emil Bauknecht.
Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being in the woods. He was a logger most of his life. He cherished his time spent with his family, especially his kids and grandkids.
Jerry was a Veteran in the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. He was proud to have fought for his country.
Jerry is survived by lifelong partner Cindy Bauknecht of Three Lakes; three daughters, Wendy (Eddie) Coggins of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Rose Bauknecht of Three Lakes, April (Michael) Mendez of Three Lakes; four sons, Jason Bauknecht of Three Lakes, Anthony Bauknecht of Three Lakes, Justin Bauknecht of Three Lakes, Rusty Bauknecht of Three Lakes; two brothers, Larry Bauknecht of Sugar Camp, Rick Bauknecht of Rhinelander; sister Donna Van Ooyen of Antigo; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and two sons Mitch Bauknecht and James Bauknecht.
A service will be held at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River at a later date in April.
