Betty B. Fahrenbach
Betty B. Fahrenbach passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 in Tomahawk. Betty was the best grandmother to her grandchildren who they fondly called "Grandma Sugar". Betty was born on October 28, 1924, in Taylor County, to Louis and Bertha (Peissig) Ludwig. She attended schools in Medford, graduating from Medford High School. Betty was married to William "Bill" Fahrenbach on March 28, 1944 in Stetsonville.
After her husband Bill returned from the service they moved several places and finally resided in Rhinelander. Betty worked at many jobs while they were moving including Personal Supervisor for the Department of the Army, Geological Surveyor, jobs for the U.S. Forest Service, and as a teacher's aide in the Rhinelander school district.
Betty was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church and a longtime volunteer at the Nativity Thrift Shop. As Betty would say she was happily married to Bill for 67 years, lived a long wonderful life, had four great children and no regrets.
Betty is survived by her four children, Bryan (Nancy) Fahrenbach of Mountain Green, Utah, Brad Fahrenbach of Rhinelander, Beth (Brian) Kief of Lake Tomahawk, and Jill Govek of Middleton; grandchildren, Will (Jaycee) Fahrenbach, Tricia Wright, Jared Kief, Anna Kief, Mary Govek, Alaina Govek, and Melissa Govek; great-grandchildren, Ellis Fahrenbach, Charlette Wright, Becklee Howard, and Callan Howard; sister Marianne, sister-in-law Bette, other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 2011, parents, brothers Harold, Art, Jim and Dennis, sisters, Lucille and Ruth, and sister-in-law Patricia.
A graveside service for Betty will take place in late summer at the Nativity of our Lord Catholic Cemetery. Donations may be given to Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church in Betty's name.
