Donald E. Lau, age 69, of Tomahawk, passed away at his home on Aug. 1, 2022 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care.
Don was born on April 20, 1953, in Milwaukee, to Ernest & Elizabeth (Hein) Lau. He was married on March 20, 1976, in South Milwaukee, to Darlene Thomas. Don worked at Kyle McGraw Edison Corporation in South Milwaukee before moving up north to the Rhinelander area and the Harrison area.
Don worked for the School District of Rhinelander for 28 years as district carpenter and then custodian. Don loved hunting, camping and fishing. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of The Well Church in Tomahawk.
Don is survived by his wife Darlene Lau; children Michelle Lau, Adam Lau and Elizabeth Taylor; and two grandchildren Brady & Cody Roberts. He is further survived by his mother Elizabeth Lau, sister Marlene (Bill) Chojnacki, and brothers Gerald (Karen) Lau & Craig (Leah) Lau. Don is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Lau.
Don's family will celebrate his life privately.
