Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation seeks donors for local scholarships
The Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation is a local organization comprised of a volunteer board whose mission is to raise money for and contribute scholarships to Rhinelander students, many that might not otherwise receive financial support from other sources to attend higher education.
The RASF works closely with the school district and RHS staff to manage the scholarship application process, the selection of student recipients, and the awards ceremony held each May.
The next scholarship award ceremony will be held Sunday, May 17, 2020 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the John and Dori Brown Performing Arts Center.
"Each year, the process of raising funds starts anew," RASF officials said in a press release. "Your support is crucial for future potential leadership of the Rhinelander community."
Since its inception in 1991, the RASF has awarded over $347,352 in scholarships to 439 students that exemplify future leadership ability, the release states.
Qualifications are based on specific criteria which may include, academic excellence, civic, and philanthropic activities, as well as outstanding character.
To donate, or establish a business, family, class, or memorial scholarship for local students, write to RASF - Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation, c/o RHS Student Services Office, 665 Coolidge Avenue, Rhinelander, WI 54501
