Pollinator workshop provides important information
Pollinators are an important part of our lives. Much of the food we eat would not exist without the insects who work diligently to pollinate them for us. Recently, the Oneida County Land and Water Conservation Department held a pollinator workshop to enhance awareness of the role pollinators play in our lives and what people can do to help the declining pollinator populations. I came in to the office recently to discover a book on my desk called "Heaven on the Headwaters." A quick glance through the book told me it was something I needed to read. I love the history of the Northwoods, and with several historical photos jumping from nearly each page of the book as I flipped through it, I knew how I would be spending my evening.
