Man taken into custody after allegedly shooting at truck (UPDATED)

Oneida County sheriff's deputies have arrested a male subject they believe shot a firearm into a truck in the town of Pelican Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release from chief deputy Dan Hess, a call came in at approximately 3:17 p.m. reporting a male had shot a firearm into a truck parked at a residence. The male suspect then left the scene on a four-wheeler.

"Upon arrival, deputies located a four-wheeler at a neighbor's residence," the release states. "The suspect later came out of the residence and was taken into custody without further incident."

The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate the events surrounding the incident.

Late Wednesday afternoon, authorities identified the suspect as Stephen G. Grundman, 66. Grundman has been booked into the jail for endangering safety by the use of a dangerous weapon, criminal damage, possession of THC with intent to deliver, possession of THC second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release states.

He is expected to make an initial appearance Thursday in Oneida County Circuit Court.
