6/26/2019 10:49:00 AM CORRECTED: City Council votes 6-2 to approve use of ATV/UTVs on city streets
The Rhinelander Common Council voted 5-3 Monday to open all city streets, with the exception of Lincoln Street and North Stevens Street (north of Dwight Street),t to ATV and UTV traffic.
Alderpersons Steve Sauer, Tom Kelly, George Kirby, Andrew Larson, David Holt and Lee Emmer voted in favor of the resolution. Alderpersons Ryan Rossing and Dawn Rog voted against the resolution. Prior to the vote, Rossing floated the idea of holding a referendum of city residents, however no motion to that effect was made.
Note: An earlier version of this story stated that Emmer voted against the resolution. In fact, he voted for it. We apologize for the error.
