routes of travel for Country Fest visitors
By River News Staff
In anticipation of increased traffic during the upcoming four-day Hodag Country Festival in Pine Lake, and the amount of construction in the Rhinelander area, the Oneida County sheriff's office has released a map showing recommended routes of travel to the music festival grounds, sheriff's captain Tyler Young announced in a press release to local media July 4.
Young also noted that the left turn signal from Highway 17 North onto Stevens Street is being extended from 20 seconds to 40 seconds to allow recreational vehicles, trailers, and traffic ample time to turn safely onto the recommended route. There will be signs notifying traffic of the routes from July 9-14.
This map can also be found at the Wisconsin DOT 511 web page https://projects.511wi.gov/us8wis47int/hodag-country-festival-info/.
The sheriff's office was assisted in this project by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and the Oneida County Highway Department, the release states.
