Warrants are for tampering with public records and misconduct in public office
Officers from three separate Northwoods law enforcement agencies executed two search warrants Thursday at Rhinelander City Hall, according to Oneida County chief deputy Dan Hess.
"On Thursday, November 21, 2019, at approximately 9:25 a.m., the Oneida County Sheriff's Office executed two State Search Warrant at Rhinelander City Hall located at 135 South Stevens Street," Hess wrote in a press release. "The warrants are for Tampering with Public Records and Misconduct in Public Office. Oneida County Sheriff's detectives along with detectives from Vilas County sheriff's office, Marathon County sheriff's office, and Wisconsin Department of Justice - Digital Forensics Support assisted in the execution of the state search warrants. At this time, the investigation is still ongoing."
