Library offers update on WI-Fi availability, tax forms

While the Rhinelander District Library remains closed until further notice, Wi-Fi is available outside the building, according to an update from library director Virginia Roberts.

"Please, if at all possible, remain in your car while using this resource," Roberts said, referring to the WI-FI access.

She also noted the City of Rhinelander City Hall at 135 South Stevens Street, Rhinelander now has the tax forms the library had for distribution. All tax forms available are out. Other tax forms are available at by calling 1-800-TAX-FORM (800-829-3676) Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time. "Please do not ask City Hall staff to print them for you," the release notes. "Thank you City Hall for allowing RDL to have the tax forms made available there."

The library's board of trustees voted unanimously Monday to temporarily close the library to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.

However, downloadable e-books and audiobooks are available through the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium via Libby and Overdrive. Badgerlink also provides multiple reference resources. Gale Courses are available for academic and self-improvement classes. Virtual storytimes for children and adults - as well as other virtual concerts, theater, and tours will be linked on the library's Facebook page.

Please check the library website ,, for further updates.
