Oneida County officers assist Milwaukee police in shooting investigation

Oneida County chief deputy Dan Hess reports local officers assisted Milwaukee police over the weekend in conjunction with an investigation involving a shooting in Milwaukee on July 19.

"On Saturday, July 25, 2020, at approximately 2:15 a.m., the Oneida County Sheriff's Office received a request from the Milwaukee Police Department to check (a location on) North Pelican Lake Road for a vehicle that was alleged to be involved in a shooting in the City of Milwaukee on July 19, 2020," Hess reported in a press release issued Sunday afternoon. "Deputies located the suspect vehicle at the residence. Oneida County Sheriff's Detectives applied for a state search warrant for the residence as well as the vehicle. At approximately, 3:17 p.m., Special Response Teams assisted in the execution of the search warrant. On Saturday July 25, 2020 in the evening hours the two subjects (a 33-year-old male and a 28-year-old female) were taken into custody on the warrants by the Milwaukee Police Department at their residence located 1747 South Muskego Street in the City of Milwaukee." This case is currently under investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department and the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the following:, Langlade County Special Response Team, Vilas County Special Response Team, Rhinelander Police Department and Oneida County EMS.
