A quorum of the Rhinelander Common Council was present last Tuesday evening, June 28, 2022, for a listening session on the subject of room tax. The session included a lengthy presentation by Lauren Sackett, executive director of the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce, on the room tax system and tourism
initiatives funded by room tax dollars. A story on the session will be published in a future edition of the River News.
